How to apply

UFO DRIP All Conditions

Thoroughly shake bottle before use.

Apply UFO DRIP All Conditions wax coating directly to the chain rollers over the cassette while rotating the chain slowly to coat the entire length of the chain twice.

Next, apply UFO coating to the inside of the chain, along the rollers on the bottom span over the chain and coat the entire length of the chain twice. A complete coating will use about 8ml, or an 8-gram difference by weight.

For best penetration, continue rotating the cranks for 30 to 60 seconds to ensure the wax can get down between the chain rollers and links.

For best durability and clean performance, let the UFO DRIP chain coating dry overnight. It is not suggested to wipe off the wax from the surface of the chain. A proper application will last 300km / 180 miles in generally dry and clean conditions.

For standard reapplication, wipe off any surface dust with a clean towel and apply UFO coating to the chain links above the cassette along the length of the chain twice.

Please note: If the drivetrain has been contaminated, the bike has been washed, or ridden in wet conditions we suggest a full clean and reapplication following the first application guidelines. If you ride in the wet often, we recommend the UFO DRIP Wet Conditions.

Storage: Keep it out of direct sunlight and in a temperature range of 5-30 degrees Celsius (30-85 Fahrenheit). – do not freeze.

Thoroughly shake bottle before use.

For new chains or the first application, start with a fully clean and dry chain.

Apply UFO DRIP Wet Conditions chain coating directly to the chain rollers over the cassette while rotating the chain slowly to coat the entire length of the chain twice

For best penetration, continue rotating the cranks for 30 to 60 seconds to ensure the wax can get down between the chain rollers and links.

For best durability and clean performance, let the UFO chain coating dry overnight. It is not suggested to wipe off the wax from the surface of the chain.

Please note: It is always suggested after wet riding conditions to clean the chain and reapply a fresh UFO chain coating. If it has been a dry ride, wipe off any surface dust with a clean towel and apply UFO coating to the chain links above the cassette along the length of the chain twice.

Storage: Keep it out of direct sunlight and in a temperature range of 5-30 degrees Celsius (30-85 Fahrenheit) – do not freeze.

How to apply

UFO DRIP Indoor Conditions

Thoroughly shake bottle before use.

For new chains or the first application, start with a fully clean and dry chain.

Apply UFO DRIP Indoor chain coating directly to the chain rollers, with at least one large drop per roller.

You can also apply the same as the other UFO DRIP products, directly to the chain rollers over the cassette while rotating the chain slowly to coat the entire length of the chain twice.

For best penetration, continue rotating the cranks for 30 to 60 seconds to ensure the wax can get down between the chain rollers and links.

A normal application will last 5–8 hours of indoor riding time. Directly reapply when the noise levels begin to increase.

Please note: When transitioning to outdoor use, use UFO CLEAN Drivetrain sprayed onto a towel and wipe the chain links and rollers to remove the tacky surface finish and apply UFO DRIP All Conditions or UFO DRIP Wet Conditions as normal.

How to apply

UFO CLEAN Drivetrain

Shake well before use and keep out of direct sunlight. DO NOT APPLY TO DISC BRAKE PADS.

Use by spraying UFO CLEAN Drivetrain to your chain, cassette, and chainrings and scrub with a brush to break down surface contaminants, waxes, or grease.

Let sit for 3–5 minutes for the best results.

Rinse thoroughly with water. UFO CLEAN Drivetrain is activated with water and will turn milky white first and then when the chain is clean, the water will be clear again.

It is important to fully rinse all the UFO CLEAN Drivetrain off and allow the chain to completely dry before adding a UFO DRIP chain coating.

Please note: UFO CLEAN Drivetrain is safe to use in an ultrasonic cleaner from 40–60 degrees Celsius.

Storage: Store out of direct sunlight.

How to apply

UFO CLEAN Bike Wash

Begin by rinsing the bike with water to soften any dried mud and debris. Thoroughly shake bottle before use.

Spray a brush or sponge 3–4 times with the foaming UFO CLEAN Bike Wash and gently scrub the bike, starting with painted surfaces, metal surfaces, and finally the wheels and tires.

Rinse thoroughly with water. UFO CLEAN Bike Wash is activated with water and will turn milky white first and then when the chain is clean, the water will be clear again.

Repeat until the whole bike is covered in soapy foam. You will have up to 30 washes in one bottle using this method. When the bike is soapy let it sit for 3–5 minutes to break down dirt and grease. Avoid contact with disc brake rotors.

Rinse the bike thoroughly with water and dry it with a clean towel.

Please note: UFO CLEAN Bike Wash is available in a 100 ml concentrate. Pour the entire concentrate into the 500 ml trigger bottle, and add 200 ml of water (or 2x the concentrate bottle) to create full strength bike wash.

How to apply

UFO TECH Bearing Cleaner

For cleaning bearings, it is not generally recommended to remove the bearing from its placement.

Start by removing any dust shields in front of the bearing and carefully removing the visible seal by inserting a knife blade between the inner race of the bearing and the seal.

Apply a couple of drops of UFO TECH Bearing Cleaner directly to the exposed face of the bearing.

Rotate the inner race in both directions to agitate the cleaner inside the bearing and break down contaminated grease.

Let sit for 2–5 minutes for best results.

Use compressed air and a cloth (wear eye protection) to flush out the old grease and cleaner, repeat the process if needed 1–2 times.

Once clean and dry, apply one of the three UFO TECH Bearing Grease options based on riding type and conditions, or UFO TECH Pulley Oil for pulley bearings.

Reinstall the seal and dust shields.

UFO DRIP FAQ

Storage is stated 5°C -30°C on the bottle. Can it go lower or higher?

Stress tests below 5°C and above 35°C have been performed and at these temperatures, the viscosity can become quite thick and it becomes difficult to shake well enough to make the UFO DRIP flow again. The first cm may still be thicker and this is OK to apply to the chain as the functionality is still present. In extreme cases it may be necessary to clear the cap with a needle. Letting the bottle return to room temperature and shaking thoroughly will allow it to be usable again.

Which UFO DRIP is best to use with a factory optimized UFO Chain?

UFO DRIP All Conditions is the closest match for re-coating a factory optimized UFO-chain. It shall be applied in the same manner as a fresh application as listed on the bottle.

It is OK to apply UFO DRIP Wet Conditions onto a factory optimized UFO Chain if wet riding conditions are expected. No special preparation is needed, and application can follow as listed on the bottle.

Why do you recommend to wait overnight after applying UFO DRIP All Conditions or UFO DRIP Wet Conditions? How long do I need to wait?

The wax particles in the lube work best when they are dry and merged together as a solid wax . In the bottle the particles are dissolved in water and the water needs to evaporate before the wax particles can merge together as a solid wax coating. Additionally, allowing the wax to fully dry prevents dirt, grime, or road dust to contaminate the wax or create a dirty chain. UFO DRIP Wet Conditions will resist rain for a longer period when allowed to dry completely.

8 hours is the standard amount of time for a chain to fully dry. Arid climates may be quicker, and humid climates may take longer.

What is the clicking sound inside the bottle when shaking?

UFO DRIP All Conditions and UFO DRIP Wet Conditions are unique wax blends to achieve the lowest friction possible. If not disturbed for many days, or after big temperature variations, the viscosity can be thicker. To efficiently reconstitute the formula, an agitator is included inside the bottle, ensuring even mixing and returning the wax to a liquidy/thinner viscosity.

Can I fly with UFO DRIP products?

Yes, all three UFO DRIP formulas are nonflammable and safe for travel.

Why does UFO CLEAN Drivetrain smell so strongly?

The ingredients and composition of UFO CLEAN Drivetrain results in the strong odor that hangs in the air. The reason the smell lingers is because UFO CLEAN Drivetrain is designed not to evaporate, which aids in efficacy of the product, but causes the smell to remain for a longer period of time.

What happens if I don’t rinse UFO CLEAN Drivetrain off with water? Can it just air dry?

No, UFO CLEAN Drivetrain is reactive with water to clean the metal surface of the chain. If all UFO CLEAN Drivetrain is not rinsed off, it will result in poor performance from any lubrication applied to the chain.

I have noticed that sometimes UFO CLEAN Drivetrain is clear, and other times it can be yellow and cloudy, is this a problem?

Sometimes a very small amount of one of the ingredients precipitate out of solution due to temperature changes due to shipping the product.

Because of this precipitate, the color of the solution changes from clear to a milky-yellow solution.

 We recommend shaking the bottle prior to use. This ensures that the precipitate is suspended in the solution.

Whether the solution is milky-yellow or clear does not have any effect on the performance of the product.

You can therefore without any problem use the product as it is.

What happens if I get UFO CLEAN Drivetrain on my brake surfaces?

The formula of UFOCLEAN Drivetrain brakes down oils, greases, and waxes designed to leave the surface of a chain clean and ready fora wax treatment. This formulation will leave braking surfaces with a film that prevents adequate grip. Brake surfaces will need to be thoroughly cleaned with a brake safe cleaner prior to use.

Can UFO CLEAN Drivetrain be diluted or is it available in a concentrate?

UFO CLEAN Drivetrain is a unique formula that is blended at precise temperatures for stability. You may dilute it with up to 50% water, but the functional life will be limited to10 days before it becomes inactive and should be disposed of.

How many times can UFO CLEAN Drivetrain be used in an ultra-sonic before it needs to be replaced?

When concentrated you can use 100ml of UFO CLEAN Drivetrain to remove the factory grease of 5 new chains.

Dirty and greasy chains will require UFO CLEAN Drivetrain to be replaced up to twice as often.

Can I use UFO CLEAN Drivetrain in an ultra-sonic cleaner?

Yes,UFO CLEAN Drivetrain can be used in an ultra sonic cleaner and heated to between 40-60 degrees Celsius.

Do I have to spray UFO CLEAN Drivetrain onto my bike?

UFO CLEAN Drivetrain is formulated to be effective cleaning your chain, chainrings, and cogs directly onbike. The formula activates with water and will turn white before rinsing clear.

Will UFO CLEAN Drivetrain kill my grass or yard?

No, UFO CLEAN Drivetrain is non-toxic & biodegradable making it safe to use outside. Frequent use in the same area, or high concentrations of UFO CLEAN Drivetrain may cause yellowing of grass.

Can I safely use UFO CLEAN Drivetrain Indoors?
